I just received my Conan: The Prize Polystone Diorama by Sideshow Collectibles. It’s the regular edition, which means it comes without the exclusive sword for Conan.
I’d say that this has always been one of my absolute favorite Conan statues. I find that the whole situation that this statue paints a picture of is very iconic and representative of the Conan mythos. It’s especially cool having gotten this statue now that I also have The Colossal Conan humongous comic book collection published by Dark Horse. I posted a video about this book previously, and you can also see it and the statue on the image to the left.
Undoubtedly, one of the strong selling points of this statue is “The Prize”, which I believe to be the damsel in distress that Conan seems to be speeding away with. It’s a bit cheesy, but that is the exact point, and that is in my opinion important to the world of Conan. I applaud Sideshow Collectibles for doing this – I find it both daring and charming. You don’t see that much these days from companies the size of Sideshow.
