November has been a relatively quiet month in the comic department for me. I did, however, add a little to my collection.
On Black Friday, I picked up the Absolute Batman: The Long Halloween. I’ve been eyeing it for quite a while now, and it feels great to finally have it on my shelf. Unfortunately, it has a rather significant dent on one corner. I called my LCS about this, and they offered to send me a new one as soon as they’d be able to get one in stock. In the meanwhile, I’ll have to settle with this bitter-sweet pick-up. It’s still a beautiful book, and I can’t wait to read it.
My second pick-up is the Planet Hulk Hardcover. In pristine condition, and picked up from eBay. I’ve been longing to add this to my collection for a while too. I simply love the story, and the artwork. Getting the HC edition was kind of a must for me. I generally don’t pick up softcovers anymore. I’m too much of an obsessive collector for that!
Despite the fact that I only picked up two books this entire month, I’m still really pleased and happy with my additions. Two books I’ve been longing to add for a long time. Can’t complain about that. It’s still been an expensive month since I’ve obtained a few really expensive statues.
